Schedule for Final Four Days

Friday 11/15

  • Bring your laptop and something to work on in class.  We will have about one hour as an open work session.
  • Turn in the second draft of your research paper AND the research evaluation sheet that your partner filled out for you in the last class. Be sure you have carefully read through that entire sheet and applied the ideas to your own writing.
  • Bring the transcript and audio file of your interview if I haven't collected it yet.
In class, we will also be working on how to write an effective conclusion.
Remember, you might want to schedule an appointment with the writing center before your final draft is due on Tuesday, 11/26.

Tuesday 11/19

  • Bring papers (including all drafts) to scan in the computer lab.  We will be working on your e-portfolio.
  • Bring your ideas and initial work or notes for your final blog post.  Remember, you might need to visit a place, do an interview, watch a movie, or complete some other work for your final post over the weekend.  The content of the post is up to you!
In class, you'll have some time to work on the one-paragraph summary of your interview, your final blog post, and your e-portfolio. We will also review the feedback for your second draft.

Friday 11/22

  • Present your final blog post and your summary/reflection about the interview.  4-5 minutes.
  • Bring questions about the final draft or anything you would like help with.

Tuesday 11/26 - Last day!

  • Turn in your final draft.
  • Turn in journal. 19 entries, including a review of Capote and responses to my questions and grammar issues in all previous entries.
In class, we will have some time to make final comments on the blogs, continue working on your e-porfolio, and eat some cookies!!
