9/24 Nichole out sick

Hello Writing class!

I am not coming to class today. I have a cold and I don't want to get you all sick. Please check with Nada to see what you will be doing during class time. Read this carefully to know what you need to do before next class.

Put your journals and your outline, rough draft, and second draft of your paragraphs in my mailbox.  Make sure your name is on everything.  My mailbox is on the second floor of DeKalb by the copy machines.  It is near the bottom next to the refrigerator.

If Nada has not given you other instructions, there are a few things you should do today during class time: 

• Finish your post on your blog about the book fair. Read the assignment sheet that I gave you on Friday to make sure you know what to do.
• Work on your learning log. Sign in to http://eportfolio.pratt.edu/ and open your Fall 2013 portfolio. Under blogs you should have already created your learning log. Enter today's date and write about what you have been learning in any of your classes or on your own and how you are feeling about your English studies.
• Read and study this information about comparison and contrast essays. http://www.eslbee.com/compcont.htm We will talk about it in the next class.
